Eight Mile Plains State School is conveniently located on the corner of Logan and Underwood Road in Eight Mile Plains.
Bicycle and Scooter Safety
Riding a bicycle or scooter on the roadway in conjunction with larger, much faster conveyances such as cars and trucks requires a high degree of skill, knowledge and maturity. Before allowing a child to ride a bicycle or scooter to school, please consider the following carefully:
- The wearing of an approved safety helmet.
- The child’s ability to manoeuvre and control a bicycle or scooter in traffic.
- The safest route to take.
Bicycles or scooters are not to be ridden in the school grounds. Once inside the grounds, bicycles or scooters are to be walked to and from the bicycle racks provided for them. For security reasons, children are advised to have bike locks.
Bus Services
Brisbane City Council provides transport to and from the school. For bus routes and timetables visit the translink website.
Parking
The school does have parent parking off of Underwood Road. Please be vigilant while using this car park and watch for young people who maybe around at the time.
Please note that parents are not to use the staff car park.
